WAIPUKURAU THEATRE
"Three Men on a Horse" Friday and Saturday "Three Men on a Horse," the film version of the famous Broadway stage play eomes to the Waipukurau Theatre next Friday and Saturday at 8, with a special matinee on Saturday at 2.30. This hilarious racing story concerns the adventures of a meek little writer of greeting card verses who has a Weird gift of picking winners in raee horses. He keeps the secret to himself, but his nagging wife iinds the book in which he records his prognostications and imaginary winnings, and dcnounces him as a philanderer. Erwin (that's Frank McHugh) hears three gamesters talking and timidly offers a tip. He is imprisoned by the men (Allen Jenkins, Freddy Hart and Sam Levene) who get rich on his tips on winners. The fun begins iu earnest when his wife (Joan B'iondell) rouses the police and searches for the inissing husband. It's all a merry mix-up and a wonderful evening 's entertamment.
