WAIPAWA REGENT
Grand Dquble Bill To-night Two "top-liners" scroen to-night at ■the Waipawa Eegent. A sparkling modern romance, woven about a young millionaire's efforts to induco a girl to marry him for himself and not for his inoney, is pic.tured in "Smartest Gifl :n Town," starring Gene Eaymond and Ann Sothern. Eaymond, as the wealthy young man, has experienced a series of unpleasant situations which cause him to shy away from girls with a gokl complex. Hence, when Miss Sothern mistakes him for a poor photographer's niodel like berself, Geue continues tlie masquerade, especialJy when be learns that she as ccutring her affections on an affluent young man. Once again the "Three Musketeers of Mirth" — Tom Walls, Ealpy Lynn and Kobertson Hare — come to the screen in "Pot 'Luck," a farcieal story bubbling with livcly comedy. Theso three have been togotlier for many years now, and they have built up a reputatiou i'or hilarious farce that is well-nigh unique. Ben Travers, who is responsilile for tho story and dialogus, can always be relied upon to give a good plot. As is inevitable in all tlic Walls-Lynn comedies, much of the hilaritv is invested in the eharaclerisations. In "Pot Luck" the principals are well up to their standard of fnolery, and .provide entertaimnent of tho richest.
