Mr. J. W. Burt, Napier, is visiting Wellington. Messrs. E. Averill, L. Maclean, J. Graham and J. H. Absolom, of Hawke's Bay, are attending the .annual conference of the Eoyal AgricuJtural Society in Wellington Mr. Oscar Garden, the New Zealand aviator, who has been living in England for some. years, intends to return to New Zealand shortly, aecording to adviee received by his mother, Mrs. R. J. Garden, of Riccarton. Mr. F. Perrin, of Hastings, who is now recovering from a serious illness, was accorded a motion of sympathy and of hope that his recovery would soon be complete, at Monday night 's meeting of the Hastings Chamber of Gominerce. Mr. G. Cogswell has severod hds connection with WiUiams and Kettle, Ltd.. Waipawa, to take up an appointment with Plumbers, Ltd., at Palmerston North. Before he left Waipawa he was met by members of the Waipawa braneh and presented with a readinglamp and electric touster. In making the presentation Mr. F. M. Tickner, manager, referred appreciatively to the four years' service which Mr. Cogswell had rendered to the firm, and conveyed the best wishes of the staff for his future prosperity. Mr. Cogswell made suitable acknowledgement.
