WAIPUKURAU THEATRE

"Story of Louis Pasteur" To-night Paul Muni has scored. again. In the Cosmopolitan production, "The Story of Louis Pasteur," which will be shown at the Waipukurau Tlieatre to-night, at 8 p.m., he has given the world not only one of the finest characterisations ever depicted on the screen but has made a real contribution to the art of motion pictures. Again, as in the chain gang picture he portrays a real petson — this time a man reeognised as one of the world's greatest benefactors, Louis Pasteur. Hated and scorned, a pariah and an outcast, branded as a quack, a charlatan and an enemy of man, Pasteur lived to see his work reeognised and and himself acclahned as the greatest scientist of his age. It is the thrilling drama of Pasteur'a battle for the human race that is unfolded in "The Story of Louis Pasteur." Josephine Hutehinson, noted stage star plays opposite Muni as Marie Pasteur, his wife, while charming Anita Louise is son in the role oi their daughter. Together with Donald VVoods, Miss Louise carries the love angle of the picture. Woods has the role of a young doctor, one of the few who believed in Pasteur and his work. This is listed as one of the ten best pictures. 'Phone 282 for reserves.
