Hunter, the chairman of the Massey College Council, at the capping ceremony, when he said that tbe qroposal for co-ordination was causing perturbatiou to some, but no deeision had yet been made by the department. Tho councils of both colleges would make reports before any decigion was arrived at and there was no suggestion of any alteration till a full inquiry had been made. — Palmerston North. Sudden Coliapse bhortly after starting work this morning, Alan Miller, aged 56, married, quiarry foreman, collapsed and died at the Mount Wellington Road Board's quarry. Mr Miller was a returned soldier and leaves a widow and family. He had enjoyed good health and had been emplpyed by the board for 10 years. No waming was given of the coliapse and it was only when workmea saw him stagger and fali that they realised he was ill. He died before a doetor arrived, — ^Auckland.-
