Inquiry To Be Made Into Recent Incident (From Our Own Correspondent.) WAIPUKURAU, This Day. Mr A. L. McCormick presided over the following members at a meeting of the Central Hawke's Bay Rugby iSubUnion last night: Messrs R. S. Rieketts, E. G. Kedgley, G. Voyce, G. Ferguson, C. Gallagher, G. Harvey, French, T. Nicol, W. J. Phillips, and C. M. Williamson (secretary). Apologies ior absence were received from Messrs Y. Parsons and R. D. Sharpo. * "Owing to other fixtures and the late starting of echfols, it is doubtful whether St. Patrick's College (Silverstream) will play the usual match against Te Aute College this year," was the information roceived from the Hawke's Bay Union. • . Two junior players, who allegedly took part in a fight at the conclusion of a drawn game, which was keeniy contested, between the Waipawa and Takapau clubs at Waipawa last Saturday, appeared before the sub-union. After discussing the matter in coinqiittee, it was decided to etand Petersen (Takapau) down for a month. and caution Humphries (Waipawa). Arising from a letter which had appeared in a newspaper, in which it was alleged that the eustomary cheers at the conclusion of the Waipawa-Takapau uiatcli were not returned but replaqed by the Takapau team booing, the subunion decided to make aa enquiry. As the Takapau delegate wa* not present, the secretary was instructed to write to the clubs concerned nofifying them of the inquiry, and asking them to be Tepresented at the next meeting of the sub-union. The following is «the Otane team to play against Takapau at Otane on Saturday. As these teams are level on the championship ladder more than usual interest is attached to their meeting; — Tolley, S. Drinkrow, Belliss, Smith, Riacli, * Pene, R. ' Drinkrow, Beale,1 Orr, Greene, Stephens, Wright, Higgs, Burgess. Emergencies: Backs, j. ScTimgeour; forwards, Anderson, Kau Kau.
