' A messa^e from Babaul states that jjkhe Administrator has been informed jthat the Commonwealth Government jcontemplates obtaining the services of !* qualified scientist, probably from the Dnited States, to report upon the vol■canie and seismai danger at Babaul. The Commonwealth will also appoint jfc committee of experts to examine the jsuitability of Babaul as the future capiital. A large section of the white population refuses to xetnrn there, and a number of women refugees, before embarking for Australia, advised their husbands to resign their positions which, thay contcnd, is the officia] alternativc.
