Danger to TrafSc at The Waitangi Bridge Danger to traffic using the main Hastings-Napier highway because of the faet that the embankment apprQaeh to the Waitangi. Bridge was nnfenced was commmented upon by the Automobile Association (Hawke 's Bay) • at the meeting in Napier last evening. It was deeided to draw the attention of the Hawke's Bay County Council to the matter, with a request that feneing should be provided. It was reported to the assoeiation by ■members present that recently two vehicles had suffered extensive damage when they went over the bank in the locality, and that the approaeh was definitely dangerous, -particularly on nights when a blanlcet of fog collected there. The danger to motorists of tlie railway crossings at the Napier end of the Taradale road was also pointed out. Recently a new house and a new petrol station 'had been constructed in corners in the locality, obstructing the view of motorists in two direetions, It was decided to aslc the Railway Department if a warning device, such as a crossing bell, could be erected at tho crossings.
