PALMERSTON N., Last Night. At the inquest concerning the death of Harold Rupert Harris, aged 51, a commercial traveller, of Auckland, who received fatal injuries in a levelcrossing smash at North Manakau, on May 12, evidence was. given that deceased slowed down when approaehing the crossing and appeared to hesitate. He then accelerated, the train striking the rear of the vehicle. A verdict that death was due to the shock of multiple injuries sustained in a collision between the ear and the train.
