"DON'T TELL THE WIFE" AND "WE'RE ON THE JURY " Featuring three of Hollywood 's most popular comedians in a rolliclting screon play bubling over with entertainment and humour, RKO Radio presents "Don't Tell the Wife," at the State Theatre to-n:ght. The play is based on the operations of a gang of confidence men, who peddle etock in a gold mine they have never seen. Guy Kibboe innocentiy agrees to head the firrn ancl they do a tremqndous business untii Kibbee discovers he has been selling apparently worthless stock to many of his frieads. Una Merkel, who backed the venture in the belief it was legitimate, plays the wife of Lynne Overman, who finds himself headed back to his alma mater, "Sing Sing," for a post-graduate course. Helen Broderick, dn her new tscreen offering, "We'ro On the Jury," the second feature at the State, in which she is eo-starred for the first time with Vietor Moore, is seen as a lady of social prominence serving on her first jury. As portrayed by the favourite comedienne, this lady juror has a mind of her own, and what she does to normal court proceedings may be very upsetting to the judgo and the triul attorneys, but — ably abetted by Mr Moore— -it maliea for hilarioua comedy and novel entertainment. "We're On the Jury" also embodies a murder mystery and a courtrQom drama. Tlie presentation of Miss Broderick and Mr Moore as a comedy tcain • in " Swiug Time," with Frod Astaire and Ginger Kogers, callod for their i'urlber «oappearance, so the pair is co-starred in this rollicking comedy that taps their abundant store of talents.
