JMAJKU.UUJXU, l.ast JNlgHt. On Saturday *last Makotuku lost a highly- respected resident wheu Mrs •Tohauna Fitzgerald, relict of the late •Tohn I'Htzgerald, passed away. Although of a retiring disposition, and not active on committees , and in any public capacity,. Mrs Fitzgerald was jpved and respected by many people in the district. She was a loyal and devot'ed member of the Eoinan Catholie Church. Hers was a hospitable house, wrhere a weieome was always fortlicoming to visitors of all ages. With her husband, son and daughter-in-law she led a happy Ufe among her friends and neighbours. Her daughter-in-law, Mrs Nora Fitzcerald. and grandsonj John, remain to raourn their loss. The funoral . took place at the Ormondville Cemetery 011 Monday afternoon, the pallbearers being Messrs J. Eyan, O'Connor, L. B. Lorrigan and J. Murphy. Many beautiful flowers wero brought bv" friends from near and far.
