Mr Nevillo Chamberlain declared that there wqs no need for spectacular decisions or starfcling changes of policy in estimating the result of the conference which was not summoned to solve any particular problem or achieve. any specitic result. It was a family gathering to exchange information and assuch the conference had been an unqualified success. General Hertzog said that the conference championed the cause of world peace. "With the weight of the Commonwealth swung in the scalee for peace, I leave this conference feeling that there xs great hope for the future." Muhammad Khan said that India was anxious to participate in the deliberations of the Commonwealth on the same footing as tbe Dominions and no doubt she was within nxeasurable distanco of realising. that desire. The Prnie Minister of Southcrn Rkodesia, Mr Huggius, said that the conference hud proved tkab wifcli goodwill and an honest desire for concord, the League of Nations can be made to sucteed.
