DEATH OF WOMAN

Cries of Baby Attract . Neighbour Attracted by the continued cries of an 18-months-old baby, a neighbour entered the residence of Mr. and Mrs. D. Thompson, of Fenwick street, Hastings, shortly before mid-day yesterday and found the body of Mrs. Thompson lying in a room. Circumstances point to death being due to natural causes, but an inquest will probably be conducted this afternoon. From the information available it is considered that Mrs. Thompson suffered a fatal heart attack at ieast an hour to an hour • and a-half before the neighbour came to inquire why the ehild was crying so much. Mrs. Thompson was alone in the honse exeept for the infant, her husband, who is an employee of the Hawke 's Bay County Council, being absent at work. Two other children, aged six years and eight years, were also absent, one being an inmate of the hospital and the other was attending school at Mahora. Mrs. Thompson was about 30 years of age.
