TAKAPAU BRIDE CHOOSES PARCHMENT SATIN GOWN

FOSS — SAVAGE An interesting ann pretty wedding was solemnised at' the Takapau Presbyterian Clmrch pn Saturday afternoon, the contracting parti.es being Marion Helena, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. Savage, of Takapau, and Barrymore, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Ross, of Pahiatua. Tlie ceremony was conducted by the Rev.. H. S. Scott, M.A., aud Mr. Sydney Hewald played the brudal music. The bride, who was escorted by her father, was eharmiugly attired in n parchmBnt satin gown niade tunic fashion, and she wore a small coronet which held in plaee a beautifully embroidered veil which lormed a train, and she carried a ehower bouquet of whiite lilies and irises, Miss Mary Stokes, of Pahiatua, cousin of the bride, was bridesmaid, and was gowned in a shell-pink embossed lace and georgette f rock eut on slimming lines, and she wore a pink picturq net hat with lace crown, and instead of the usual bouquet she carried a piink silk muff. Mrs. Savage, th© bride 's mother, wore a navy ensemble suit with hat to tone and had a shoulder spray of yoJlow roses. Mrs. Foss, mother of the bridegroom, was gowned in a brown ensemble with a brown velour hat and wore a musqnash fur coat. The .bridogroom had with him Mr. W. Harlcness, Pahiatua, cousin of thc» bride, as best man. After the wedding ceremony a largr number of guestS, most of them relatives of the respectivo famiiies, wero .•eceived at the Public Hall supper -oom, where the wedding breakfast was ffeld, and the usual toasts duly hon oured. The future home of Mr. and Mrs. Barrymore Foss will be Pahiatua. 'Ihe happy couple left by car on their noueymoon, taking with them all good wishes for their future happiness. The bride 's travelling dress was a navy ensemble with hat and aecessories to tone.
