Interested Bodies to Hold Conference TRAINING FOR PEOPLE

' Co-ordination of activities for the; encouragement and development of ' sport in New Zealand will be the subject of a conference between xepresentatives of interested . bodies and tho Minister of Internal Aflairs (Hon. W. E. Parry) according ' to an announcement made by the Minister to-day. The .meeting is to be held Parliament ! Buildings on June 30, when, it is expeCted, the opinions and suggestions of the sportsmen7s representatives in relation lo the proposals which were put forward by Mr. PaTry in March will be discussed and decisions reached." The need for a better organisation to : provide efficient. training for the people ' was stressed by physical culture experts j who interviewed tlxe Minister to-day.' One speaker, referring to the nxilitary parade at the Domain on the Krng7s Birthday, said there were many men and women among the spectators who would have shown greater physique, ■ bearing and health had they kept up their physical exercises or had there been .a national organisation to assist them to maintain their traiixing. Mr. Parry said he yvas delighted with the physique and training of the men and youths who. took part in the King7s Birthday parade.
