RUSSIAN GENERALS ON TRIAL Treason and Espionage Proved NO APPEAL ALLOWED

(Received 12, 1.30 p.m.) MOSCOW, June 11. All the eight Russian generals who were tried to-day on charges of espionage and treason on behalf of an un-named foreign Power wfere sentenced to be shot. There can be no appeal against the sentence wMch must he earried out immediately. The trial was held at a secret venue, and was in camera, Judge Ulrich presiding, The officers concerned wero Grenerals Tukachevsky, Yakir, Uborevich, Putna, Kork, Eideman, Peldman and Pzimakov. The newspaper Pravda, in a leading article, significantly denounces German resentment at the
arrests. It says: "These wails are merely for lost spies on whom great hopes were placed." (See page 9 for earlier cuessage).
