H.B. Branch of Society cAre of paralysis cases A meeting of the general committee of the Hawke's Bay . branch . of the New Zealand Crippled Children Society was held at the Diocesan rooms, Napier, lagt evening. Gramger, E, W. Mills, Jas. Williamson, H. R. French, L. A. Denton, J. Wilson, W. A. Greer, M. R. Grant (chairman). Finance committee : Messrs M. R. Grant and M. S. Spence. 'The secretary reported that as a result of the circular letters which were sent o.ut -fco all the schools and all the women's institutes in the Hawke's Bay .district, six addltional cases of crippled children had been reported. As 95 Circular letters had been sent out and so far only 12 feplies had come to hand, it is quite possihle that a number of fresh cases may be reported. , Advice Was received that all the recent cases of infantile paralysis except eight had been discharged from the Napier Hospital. An after-care committee will later on be appointed for the v purpose of keeping in touch with these cases and seeing that they get the rec[uisite attention. It was decided that arrangements be made for Mr Grant to gjive an address to the Hastings Teachers' Institute on matterA connected with the aCtivities of this society, as it is felt that it would be advantageous to have the close oo-operation of the school teachers ili the work of the society. For the future meetings of the executive will be held every two months, on the first Tuesday of tho month. A vote of thanks was recorded to the Giocesan Board for the use of a foota for holding meetings.
