Hastings Branch Meets The monthly meeting of the Hastings branch of the Plunkefc Society was held on Tuesday, there being present Miss Williams (in the chair), Mesdaines F. J. Hull, F. G. R. Wright, C. Stubbs, A. X>. S. Whyte, J. Leggat, E. C. Bates, R. Sutherland, J. B. Pickering, H. Glazebrook, Miss T. Keith and Mrs A. II. Greenwood (hon. secretary). Miss Williams moved a vote of syinpatliy with tlie relatives of Mrs Henley. Mcmbcrs stood in silence. The uurses' report for May, subtnitted to the meeting, read as follows : Ncw Cascs, town 1.8, country 8; visit» to office, §14 ; visits td homes, town 226, country 222 j advice over telephone, L00 ; letters received, 1; letters written. L ; country destricts visitcd, Mangateretere 6 times, Havelot-k North 5 times, Twyford 4 times, Clive, Haumoana, Te Awanga, Longlands, Sherenden, Otamauri and Crownthorpe, once. Arrarlgements were inade for the annual meeting on Thursday, June J7, and also for the proviticia] conference, Which is to be held this year in Hastings on July 27. Mrs Nelsbn and Mrs Pickering were appointcd visitiug committee for the ensding montll. Tho I'ollowuig suliscriptioils and donations were acknowledged with thanks: Mesdaines H.
