Aiiurew's JtrresDyrerian vuiurcn, nastings, by the Eev. D. J. A. Shaw, of Delma PhyUis, only daughter of Mr and ■ Mts W. J. Eirkham, St. George 's road, Hastings, and Arthur Stanley, son of Mr and Mrs Carswell, "Woodside," Puketitiri. Miss A. Lock presided at the organ and durins: the service the hymn "The Voice That Breathed O'er Eden" was sung. The bride entered the church with her father and wore a gown of creani ghimmer satin fashioned in the Greeian style, with a long fishtail train at the back. The bodice had a soft cowled neckline and' the 'sleeves were full to the elbow and then tight-fitting to the wrist. The beautifully embroidered l veil, which was lent by her cousin, Mrs A. MeNeil, was arranged with a coronet oi' orange blossoms, and formed a second train. Slioes to match the gown wero worn and an artistic finish was an exquisite .bouquet of creani and gold flowers and ferns. The only bridesmaid was the bridegroom's sister, Miss Elsie Carswell, who looked very attractive in her gown of gold duchess satin, made on ciassical lines with puffed sleeves and square neckline, finished with neatly arranged gold posy. She wore a gold wristlet band and watch, the gift of the bridegroom. Her halo was gold and a bouquet of flowers in Ught bronze shades was carried. Mr Douglas Trumper, of Hastings, carried out the duties of best man. As the bridal party left the church a gmall friend, Lorna Evans, presented the bride with a ducky horseshoe. After® the ceremony, the reception was lield at the Pasadena tea rooms. Mr and Mrs Ivirkhani (bride 's pargnts), and Mr and Mrs Carswell (bridegroom's parents) received the guests. Mrs Kirkham wore a model frock oi coronation blue silk suede, relieved with wfiite, with velour hat to tone and fur coat and carried a posy of autumntinted flowers. Mrs Carswell wore a gown of navy blue satin faced marocain, with fingertip coat of same material, and her posy was in pale Autuinn-tinted flowers. The tables wore artistically decorated with vasos of gold poppies and wliite spring flowers and sleuder sprays of bronze foliage. When the bride and bridegroom left | oiv the honeymoon tour of the north tkc j bride travelled in a navy tailored eostume, with hat, shoes, bag and gloves of the same shade. She carried a navy and white cheelc swaggcr coat. '
