A Disabled Returned Soldiers' Thanks
(To the Editor,) Sir— Kindly publish my thanks 'o the cfficers and secretary of the Wai' Relief Association for their gracious work during the past year. I feel sure that the public are more than pleased with the way in which they have done their job. Twenty years ago our boys in khaki did their best to defend New Zealand. They went through hell — and sad to say, some of them have been going through hell since. In a few more years tfie veterans of the Great War will be as scarcc as moas. During my period in hospital and afterwards at home, the sccTetary, Mr. Goldfinch, visited me regulaily. There was always a pleasant gmile, a word of cheer, and a generous gift. It takes a digger to understand diggers' ways, and Mr. Goldfinch can be termed the Prince of Diggers -rYourg, eto., Hastings, June 8, 1937-
