WAIPUKURAU, This Day. In the opinion of members of the Waipukurau branch of the New Zealand Farmers' Union the establishment of a superphosphate manure works in Hawke's Bay would be a big asset to the farmers of the province. At yesterday's meeting members complained of the delay being experienced in procuring supplies. Mr. D. Sim said that he had been eoinpelled to wait three months for the delivery of un order. Now that it had arrived it was too late for successful applieation. - (} "I think the Farmers' Union should taken an active part in bringlng superphosphate works to Hawke's Bay," said Mr. G. E. Merriken. "If those works in Napier could be got going it would help the farmers along a lot." Another member thought that if the farmers of the district pulled together there was no doubt that a manure works would soon be established and would be an asset to the j>r0vince. It was decided tb bring the matter before the notice of the provincial executive of the union. i '•
