OBITUARY

MRS. TREVENE A. JORDAN Following a brief illness Mrs Trevene Annie Jordan, wife of Mr John Jordan, passed away peacefully at her residence at Napier Terrace, Napier, on Sunday evening, at the age of 70 years. By reason of failing health she had lived a retired life for many years. Her many friends to whom she has endeared herself in her lifetime will rere ember her as a gentlewoman of surpassing but omobtrusive kindness who bore bravely and patdently hcr increasing infirmity. A short but impresaive service conducted by the Very Rev. Dean Brocklehurst at the residence preceded a private interment at the Taradale Cemetery, where Dean Brocklehurst again officiated. Mris Jordan was born at Marton, Yorkshire, England, in 1861. She had resided in Napier for 31 years. She leaves a husband and four children — Mise W. M. Jordan, of Napier, Mrs W. E. Bate, of Hastings, Mr John Jordan, of Palmerston North, and Mr Henry Jordan, of Napier, who will 00 supported by the sympathy of many friends in their bereavement.
