Erection of Signs. On a motion by Cr. L. M. Monckton, seconded by Cr. J. A. Swinburn, the Waipukurau County Council, at its meeting on Saturday, passed a vote of thanks to the Automobile Association (H.B.) for the erection of signs on the county 'roads. Appreciation. Tho Waipukurau County Council on Saturday passed a resoliition expressing appreciation of the action of the Central Hawke 's Bay Electric PoWer Board in reducing power charges. "Good Business." "The general poliey to-day seems to be, sociai service in preference to good business," said Mr. A. C. Russell,chairman of the Waipukurau County Council, at Saturday's meeting.
