It was sumo time before Murray scored well out for .Technical, after an opening created by Bowman sent the team away. Johnsoh missed the kick, aud the remainder of the spell passed without further score, although Lister eame yory close to the line, when, taking a iong pass from Mapuhi after the fullback. had evadcd a rusli and raced into line with his backs, he went through the defence in a fine burst of speed until stopped close to the line by Roa-

Dowrick made no mistako with the kick, and Pirates were two points in the lead. However. Technical 's progress after this point assumed the nature of a procession, as try after try was scorea, the flagging Pirate forwards beiiig unable- to hold possession of the ball. Dalton set the ball rolling when he surged through in the loose and handei on to pallimore, who crossod well out. •Tohrison missed tho kick, and then Bowman gained possession about 30 yards through the line and raced across, grounding the ball as he was tackled by two opponents, Johnson converting. Ovo.r-eagerness once more to gain possession borught disaster to Pirates whej they were penalised in a hancty position, Johnson adding a further three points.
