PIPE BAND BALL

"At a meeting of the members of the Hastings and District Scots' Society held in the Chamher of Commerce rooms, it was unanimonsly deeided to hold a ball in aid of the Pdpe Band uniform fund. A strong committee was appointed to organise the function, which was set down for July 1 in the Assembly Hall. It was also deeided to make a special appeal to the public for their wholehearted support, not only to the ball but also in other ways on behalf of the band, which it "was felt would be meeting a distihct need for the town.
