CITIZENS' BAND ANNUAL BALL

At a meeting of the joint committees of the Hastings Citizens' Band ball last evening final arrangements were made for the big hal] to be held in the Assembly Hall on Tuesday evening, commencing at 8.15. The ladies and members of the band have worked more than ever this year to make this year's function an outstanding success, and patrons can be assured of having a wonderful night' s enjoyment, and in so doing will help the band. In the past this dance has always been held on the King's birthday, but this year it will take place on the evening previous (Tuesday, June 8). An excellent supper is to be provided, and the music will be in the capable liands of Redward's Orchestra. For the eonvenience of Napier p'atrons a free--bus will leave Clive Square and return after the dance. At midnight patrons will be asked to stand and sing "God Save the King," so roll up and celebrate this function in a really royal manner.
