HASTINGS WEST SCHOOL
Meeting of Committee The montkly meeting of the committee of the Hastings West School was held at the school last night. Present: Messrs Maekersey (chair), Driller (headmaster), Westernian, Harvey, Britten, Trumper, Treaeher and Colello. Leave of absence was granted Messrs Matthews and Miller. The headmaster reported that the roil number was 343. Messrs Harvey and Mattkewa were appointed visiting committee for the montli. It was decided to niake a donatiott of £1 1/- to the King Ueorge V Memorial fund. It was resolve'd to convey to tkd Mayor and Counciliors of the Hastings borough, Mr P. H Tomoana, Mr and Mrs JVlcKee and the ladies' committee tho thanks and appreaiation of assistance rendered for the Cotonatioti party at the school. Miss J. I. bladen, who held a relieviilg position at the school, hus left, and Miss E. A. Wlieeler has Ijeen appointed additional assistant, tliis appointment being due to the increased roll .number.
