The disarmamenfc conference bureau summoned at the iustigation of Francc, lias deeided that the general political and economic situation at present is not such as to engure succces of the whole of the original prqgramine, but it is inquiring if the Governments are prepared to aceept in principle the draft convention of publicity for national defence expenditure. It also suggests that a permanent disarinament commission might be a suitable subjeet for agreement. Viscount Oranborue emphasised that Britain was merely making up the doficipneieH in her own armaments.
