Napier Vital Statistics MARRIAGES SH0W INCREASE All divisions of th© vital statistics for the Napier district for the month have shown an increase in ntiffiber on the figures for the corresponding month last year. The number of births was greater than the total for any month since January, 1934. Six births were registered at the Napier Courthouse yesterday afternoon. Sinxilarly, the numhers of marriages in the district have risen considerably in comparison.
Totals to date for the year are as follow^ the numbers for last year following in parentheses : — Births, 172 (1.49) ; deaths, 93 (63); marriages, 91 (73).
