Win for Old Boys and Waipapa

WAIROA, Last Night. Two senior, two junior and one third grade Rugby football games were played at the Lambton sports ground, Wairoa of Saturday afternoon. The game between Old Boys and Nuhaka proved to be one of the best of the season, -both teams playing good football. Old Boys' scores were made by Boag, Brady and W. Powdrell; Russell converted the three trys. Nuhaka scored one try and one penalty goal near the finish of the game. Two Nuhaka and one Old Boys' players were ordered off the field for rough play. The final scores were : — Old Boys 15 ; Nuhaka 6. Mr. B. Parkinson referred. The game between Waipapa and Hikurangi was very fast, but Waipapa were far too good for Hikurangi, which were one of two players short and had to make up their team, The final scores were: — Waipapa 19, Hikurangi 3. Mr. 0. 0. Mackay refereed. Junior Grade. Waipapapa 12, Hikurangi 0, Waiau 23, Pirates 5. Third Grade. Pirates 25; High School 3.
