QUEEN ELECTION CAMPAIGN

Originality at Rugby Match (From Our Own Correspondent.) WAIPUKURAU, This Day. Originality will be one of the features of the senior Rugby football match between Central Hawke's Bay and Napier-Hastings, at Central Park, Waipukurau, next Wednesday afternoon. The original touch will be pro-v-ided by the presence on the ground of two of the queen candidates in the Central Hawke's Bay queen election campaign, Miss Shirley Clay and Miss Jacqueline Ormond. One of the candidates will set the match going by kicking off, while the other will mark the commencement of the second spell in a simiilar manner. This is a "stunt" devised by the Central Hawke's Bay Rugby Sub-Union as'a means of telling spectators that there is a queen election campaign in progress, the bbject of which is to raise funds to send a representative team on tour next winter.
