METHODIST LADIES' GUILD

Meeting at Waipawa From Our Own Correspondent. WAIPAWA, This Day. The monthly meeting of the Waipawa Methodist Ladies' Guild was held in the church. The president, Mrs S. Bott, was in the chair, and there was a good attendance of members. Opening the meeting with hymn and priVV er, her message to the gathering was on the subject of "Answered' Prayer." A welcome was extended to Mesdames Keen and Ireland. Mrs Ford was especially thanked for her services in cleaning up the church, also Mrs Bott for arranging the flowers' The meeting then resolvecl itself into the annual meeting, Mrs Keen being elected to the chair. The report and balance-sheet were presented and adopted, Mrs Keen congratulating the Guild on the success of the year's work. All members were gratified with the state of the balance-sheet. The officers for the past year were re-elected, Mrs Keen taking the place of Mrs Jones as secretary. At the conclusion of the meeting afternoon tea was served, the hostess for the afternoon being Mrs W. J. Pellow.
