American Trees Given to Japan by Garden Club

TOKYO. — On behalf of the Garden Club of America, Mrs Joseph C. Grew, wife of the United States Ambassador to Japan, has presented 4650 American trees. to the Japanese nation. . Forinal ceremonies in which Mrs Grew and Mayor Torataro Ushizuka of Tokyo will participate are to be held. •The trees have been sent to Japan as a token of apprefeiation for courtesics extended during a tour of Japan by Garden Club members in 1935. They will be pla'nted in various parks in Tokoyo, Yokobama, Nagoya, Osaka, Kyoto, Nara and elsewhere.
