Smoking by juveuiles is not encourageu in some of the South American cities. Boys and girls under 18 caught smoking — in public — are liable to a heavy line. Young smokers are better off in New Zealand whore they can indulge in thc seductive cigaretto in public without let or hindrance. Wcll, if they must smoke they should smoke "toastcd" — the purest and linost tobacco procurable. You can make ten of the choicest cigarettes (full-size) for fcurpence, or less, of either Riverhead Gold or Desert Gold, the two cigarette tobaccos chiefly in demand. For quality, bouquet, flavour and allround excellence, they are simply un equalled. For pipe-smokers there are three beautiful toasted brands: CutTlng No. 10 (Bullshead), Cavendish and Navy Cut No. 3 (Bulldog), so good that many smokers prefer them to anytking from over the water. One of their distinguishing merits is their purity. The toasting to which they are subjected at the faetory makes them safe for even the dyed-in-the-wool smoker. And be it noted — these are the only toasted tobaccos manufactured.* ,
