Fraser, the slow left-hander, threatened a New Zealand collapse in the cricket match with Cambridge TJniversity, but Wallace, hitting ten fours and a sixer, made a superb stand, givdng a stylish display of ' footwork on drivps and square cuts, . He made a rock-like fence and saved the day, assisting the score frqm four for 46 to 135. There was a tense situation when 10 runs were wahted to equal the Varsity score. Cowie stonewalled and Wallace eollared the bowling, scoring 40 out of the last-wieket stand of 41. Then thera was a period of lapse in the fielding, Payton giving chances off Gallichan and Mqloney, but the wicket now was perfeet and Moloney took the next five wickets with eleven balls.
