N.Z. CONTINGENT LEAVES
No Chance of Farewell DISAPP0INTM5NT FELT (Reeeived 27, 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, May 26. The members of the New Zealand Coronation eontingent are leaving for home tormorrow but a large crowd of their countrymen 'ara uisappcunted that tflere is no chance of farewelling themi. It was originally arranged that the troops should ontrain at Liverpool street at 3.3Q p,m. for the Royal Albert Docks, where they would board the Rangitiki. The New Zealand Office sent out a circular advising New Zealanders resident in London, and then the War Offloe deoided at the last minute that owing, it ia stated, to the baggage transport problem, the troops would go direct from Pirbright to the docks, resulting in the New Zqaland Ofiice having to issue a circular cancelljng the previous one. The troops are upset, severai calling at their office to express disappointment. A few of the eontingent, including Major Weir, are remaining fqr a short holiday.
