Thief Abandons Tbem In Relays MAORI SUSPECT WANTED Police anquiries bave been inetitnted in Hawke's Bay for a young Maoit wbo is believed to bave been concerned in tbe tbeft of two cars,, one at Hamilton and anotber at Westshore. From information received it is thought tbat be stole a car from Hamilton, abandoned it at Bay View, stole anotber at Westshore, and finally abandoned it at Rukumoana. Yesterday a car was removed froni a street in Hamilton, and early tbis morning Mr J, McHardy, owaer of a general etore at Bay Yiew, left his bouse to investigate a noise be beard at tbe front of tbe buildiag. He arrived, on tbe scene to see a motor-car standing outside from wbicb a Maori aligbfed and rau away. Mr McHardy eommunicated witb the police, and it was disepvered that tbe ea? was tbe oue Btolen from Hamilton, Latqr a car owned by Mr Franb Wjlson was missed from Westshore, and soon after tbe police bad been informed of its loss it was discovered abandoned at Rukumoana, near Te Pohue. It was undamaged, but tbe petrol tank was empty. A description of tbe suspect, supplied to tbe Napier Police by Mr McHardy, is: A young Maord, tbick-set, and about 25 year*1 of age. Any inf ormation regarding his present whereabouts should be eommunicated immediately to tha neareafc police station.
