PORANGAHAU GROUP

Miss L. Green presided over the mopthly meeting of the Porangahau Women's Institute, which had boen postponed for a week. There was a fair attendance. After the usual business a demonstration of wool-rug making was given by Mrs Somerville. A competition, the observation tray, was won by Mrs Healey. Further competitions, the best plate of scones was won by Mrs Ward with Mrs Ropiha second, and the best contrivanee, Miss Green. Mesdames Black and Forrest were the hostesses for the afternoon.
