MR. J. A. WITHEROW
The death occurred at the Tauranga Hospital of Mr. tTohn A. Witherow, in his 72nd year. One of the best known and highly respected settlers of the district, Mr. "VVitherow ,came to New Zealand ahout 55 years ago and for Ta few years resided at Tauranga. He then' came'to Te Puke and later left to take up sheep-iarmdng in Hawke 's Bay. Beturning to Te Puke, he took up farming pursuits, at Papamoa, later selling out and purchasing propertie? at Manoeka, No. 3 road and Caanan landi'ng, where he went -in for fattening etock. He was a well-known hreeder of draught horses. He is survived by two brothers and two sisters.
