Interspersed with exciting forward play, Porangahau gained a 15-point victory " against Omakere at Central Park, Waipukurau, the game being fast and keenly contested. The winners thoroughly deserved their victory, for their forward division played hard football from start to finish. The final score was 21 to 6. The teams were: — Porangahau: Basset, Scott, Cochrane, Kuru, Ross, Petuha, JVjCoaner, Pahi, Tibble, Seiascia, Cook, Niania, McDonald and Hokitanga. Omakere: Sutherland, Elg»e, J; Price, McDonald, L. Omakere played a plucky game all through, hut were unable to stand up to the stronger backs and forwaras. The handling of the two lines of backs was not the best, and wild passing occasionally spoilt promising movements. Junior Game. In a keenly-contested match at Central Park, Waipukurau (juniors) defeated Old Boys by 19 points to 10.
