Young Man Killed in Motor Accident

AHCKIjAND, Last Night.Suffering severe internal injuries , when the car in which he was travelling I from Auckland to Thames skidded in loose metal and left the road near Mangatawhiri"' Hall, Arthur Clarence Jamieson, aged 23, single, of Auckland, died five minutes after admission to the Auckland Hospital. In company with two other men Mr. Jamieson was travelling from Auckland t to Thames in a small touring model J rental car. The car had turned a ; sharp bend near Mangatawhiri Hall and had gone about four chains down ' the hill when it skidded and left the ; • road, rolling down the slope on th" left- j hand side. Mr. Jamieson was thrown out and the car rolled on his chest. Tho driver and another passenger escaped with minor abrasions. i Mr. Jamieson was attended by a doc- ■ toi who was passing on his way to ; Thames and the ambulance was summoned to take him to Auckland. The car was righted by passing motorists and it was found that it had suffered only slight damage, one wing being crumpled.
