BOXING PROGRAMME
Hawke's Bay Association At a meeting of the Hawke's Bay Boxing Association, which was held on Eriday night-, and presided over by My K. De Lisle, arrangements were cpmpletod for the first of the series .of contests_ which the association is - arranging in an endeavour to bring boxing back to its former status of popularity. • - • 'The first of these houts is to be held on June 4, and the contcstants will be Ralph Aitken, Wellington, and Allen Parker, Palmerston North, in one bout, and Glondarrv, Wellington, and Sid Smith, Lower Hutt, in tlie secoud hnnt. The first pair are lightweights, and th® seeond welters. Their contest will bo over ten rounds, and in addition ther® will be teri one-minute bouts between Waimarama and Te Aute College, for the Donald Campbell Cup, wbilst four amateur bouts are also to be staged. Mr J. Steevens was appointed ro* feiee, and the judges, Dr. Ravmond and Messrs Eorhes McHardy, John Ormond and B. Shadholfe
