SOCCER VISITORS

Late Arrival in Napier Advice was received in Napier this morning by telegram and telephone', that the Tamaroa, which has the English Soccer team on board, ' and was to arrive in Auckland last evening (Sunday), is running some thirty hours late, and will not arrive now until between 6 and 7 o'clock this evening. - This will mean that the team .will have no chance of connecting with th« train to-night, and so cannot ' leava Auckland till Tuesday, 'arriving on' Wednesday evening by manl train. Under these cireumstances the publie civic reception and concert arranged for the Sound Shell to-niorrow evening has been unavoidably cancelled. Ar*t Tangements are in hand for th# mauager, captain and trainer of the team to speak over 2ZH on Wednesday evening. '
