TEST TRIAL MATCH

LONDON, May 23. At Lord's in the test trial North lost five wickets for 246 (Hardstaff 71, Hutton 102).The North versus South test -trial at Lord-'s coincided with Marylebone 's 150th birthday. Unhappily the match was spoilt by a drizzle which caused delays. Hutton, who will be 21 in vJune, played a meritorious if slow innings with many good strokes, including a six. Hardstaff 's play was not up to test standard. Leyland played a very risky innings. Wyatt was unhappy.
