Tho completion of arrangcmonts for a eoncert tour of Australia by Lawrence Tibbett, the world-famous baritone, is now announced by J. and N. Tait. This brilliant artist will make his flrst appearance in Australia at the Town Hall, Sydnoy, on April 23, 1938. The London Daily Mail rccently published this item regarding Tibbett, who is one .of the stars of the Coronation season of grand opera at Covent Garden, London;: — "Tibbett, who is the highest-paid singcr in the world, will be.making his first appearance in this country, He is singing at the Queen's Hall, and also starring in Fugene Goossen's opcra, 'Don Juan,' the only English opera to be donc at Covent Garden this season. Euglish audicnces have been. oargerly awaiting tho advent of Tibbett, whose voice is known to tkom by his remarkably fine records."
