Meeting in Waipukurau

WAIPUKURAU, Last Night. Court Ruahine, A.O.F. , met in the Masonic Hall last evening, Bro. D. R. Logjan, G.R., presiding over a fair attendance of meinbers. The quarterly balance-sheet was submitted and adopted. It was unaniniously decided to challenge the Manchester Unity Oddfellows to a game of cribbage, the losers to pay for supper. The Cbief Ranger extended a hearty welcome to a party of Foresters from Court Littlejohn (Waipawa). Bro Murray suitably rssponded, at the same time issuing an incitation to Court Ruahine to attend nhe ivxl ineetin. of Court Littleionu. On the motion of the secretary (Bro J. H. Hopkinson) the Court congratulated Bro. F. R. Logan on his election to the position of District SubChief Ranger. Bro. Murray, on behalf of Court Littlejohn, also extended congratulations to Bro. Logan. Considerable discussion ensued regarding the dance and social evening to be held at an early date. The social committee" were left to complete airangements and report to the next Court meeting. A report of the meeting of Court Littlejohn, held at Ongaonga on Wednesday night was submitted by Bros. H. Paaffc, F. R. Logan and E. G. Downck, special reference being made to the progress shown by this Court m obtaining new inemhera. At the conclusion of a very interesting meeting the members were entertained at supper and indoor bowls.
