Appeal to H.B. Teachers to Attend Hawke's Bay teachers numbering 183 only will attend the New Education Fellowship Conference in Wellington in July, while 311 have signiiied their intention of not attending. At the meeting of the Hawke's Bay Education Board yesterday, the ehairman, Mr G. A. Maddison, said that it was desirable that more of the teachers should take advantage of the closing of the schools to attend the oonference, and it was decided to send once more a circular to the teachers asking them to attend. To enable all who wish to attend the conference, it is intended that a week of the May teirm holidays should be given np by the teachers to provide a week in July. A 20 per cent reduction in rail fares will be granted to all teachers travelling to and from tbe conference.
