CLOCK FOR HAVELOCK
"Fittiiig Central Feature" MR. MADDISON'S COMMENT ' "This clock will make a very fitting central feature "in the Havelock North township," said the Mayor, Mr G. A. Maddison, at the meeting of the Hastings . Borough Council last night when the question of the purchase of the bracket clock by the Town Board was mentioned, "This council also appreciates the generous offer of Mr and Mrs Hugk W. C. Baird to donato the clock to the township," added the Mayor, who mentioned that originally the clock cost over £80 but was never used because the order had been duplicated and was of the wrong type for tbe Hastings eleetrical service.
