CHAIN STORE MERGER
"A Very SIow Job" SYfiNEY, May 20. According to the Sun conferences are proceeding on the subject of the merger of the chain Stores of Woolworths, Ltd., and G. J. Coles. The Molbourne-ite, Mr. A. W. Coles, who is at present in Sydney, is reported to have stated: "It will be a very slow job and it is unlikely there will be any developments for some weeks."
