LONDON, April 24. It ig true that Herr Hitler has done Httle to enlighten the public about his aneestry, and that, because of this obscurity, his enemies have put f orward all kinds of disparaging suggestions. He is, however, devoted to the memory of his mother, and her photograph can or could be' until recently, bought anywhere iu Munich as a picture p'pstcard. It is the sarae - picture , which Herr Hitler wore on his breast throughout the war. The face is serious and not unattractive, and the likeness to tho Fuehrer is unmistakable. Fr. Hitler was a peasant woman called KlaTa Poelzl and was born qt Spital in Austria. Left a widow when her son was only fourteen, ehe superintended his education for five years, insisting that he should continue his studies. S£e died in 1908, when' Adolf Hitler- was nineteen.
